Dr. Jannik Schäfer

Jannik Schäfer was born in Bottmingen, Switzerland, in 1990. He studied Electrical Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), where he received his BSc degree in 2014 and his MSc degree in 2016. During his studies, he focused on power electronic systems, electrical drive systems and high voltage technology. For his master’s thesis, he developed an optimized ultra-high speed spinning ball motor. He joined the Power Electronic Systems Laboratory as a scientific assistant in June 2016 and began his PhD in September 2016, where he is focusing on combined electric vehicle chargers.
