Prof. Taekwang Jang wins 2024 IEEE SSCS New Frontier Award

Prof. Taekwang Jang, head of the Energy-​Efficient Circuits and Intelligent Systems Group, has been honored with the prestigious 2024 IEEE Solid-​State Circuits Society New Frontier Award. This recognition is bestowed upon an early career researcher for innovative and visionary technical work in the field of solid-​state circuits. Congratulations!

The award recognizes Prof. Jang's  groundbreaking circuits and systems that surpass previously believed fundamental limits, achieving performance improvements in speed, power, and precision by even an order of magnitude. His notable contributions include a high-density power converter, an energy-efficient sensor interface, a low-noise phase-locked loop, and highly precise clock generation. Additionally, he has been a pioneer in developing innovative biomedical and environmental sensing systems.
