New Professor at D-ITET
The ETH board has appointed Dr. Mickaël Perrin, currently Research Scientist and Deputy Group Leader at Empa, as Assistant Professor of Low-dimensional Quantum Electronics.
Mickaël Perrin conducts research into quantum-mechanical heat engines, which in principle permit the near-optimal conversion of thermal energy into mechanical energy. He has won multiple awards, including an ERC Starting Grant, and has excellent scientific connections with over 30 partners in Switzerland, Europe and the rest of the world.
He will join D-ITET as of 1 June 2022.
