130 graduates attend hybrid Master’s Ceremony

Thanks to the government’s easing of restrictions regarding the Corona pandemic, around 30 graduates seized the opportunity to attend the D-ITET Master's Ceremony on site at Scherrer Auditorium on 25 June 2021. Most graduates from the three Master's programmes in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering and Energy Science and Technology watched the Master's celebration online together with family and friends.

The live broadcast from Scherrer Auditorium, hosted by D-ITET's Director of Studies Prof. Sebastian Kozerke, was musically accompanied with folk music from the eastern world by the group "Musique en route".

Guest speaker Dr. Heike Riel, IBM Fellow Head Science & Technology gave an insight into her career, which started with an apprenticeship as a carpenter, telling the graduates that one's own professional path cannot always be planned. In her vivid diploma speech, Neha Nain, MSc in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, shared her personal experiences during her Master's studies. She referred to ETH Zurich as “an island of new learnings, challenges and opportunities, a place where magic happens”.

The awards ceremony and the following virtual congratulations sequence, featuring pictures and short selfie videos of the graduates, gave the celebration a festive ending.
