The Escape Tricks of Active Matter

Rare transitions between long-lived metastable states are at heart of many processes in nature and technology. Prof. Lukas Novotny and researchers from his team together with colleagues from the Faculty of Physics of the University of Vienna have now investigated the dynamics of such transitions for active matter and have published their findings in Nature Communications.
