The language of instruction at D-ITET's Master level is English

While the department offers a maximum number of courses and other mandatory study performances in English, Students may still expect to encounter the German language on various occasions during their stay at ETH: German is the official language in Zurich. Therefore, a basic command of German will prove highly useful in your dealings with many public authorities, in understanding most of the legal documents from the Rectorate.

Candidates admitted to our Master Programs are thus strongly encouraged to improve their German skills during their education at the Department.
