How to get here from the airport
Please make sure that you already have Swiss Franks (CHF) if you know that you will arrive after 10 pm local time.

By Taxi
If you take a taxi/cab, ask the driver to take you to Gloriastrasse 35 in Zurich. This will cost you about CHF 60.- (taxis are fairly expensive in Zurich).

By Train
Trains leave every 15 to 20 minutes and take about 10 minutes to get you to Zürich Central Railway station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof or just 'HB'). A ticket costs about CHF 6.-.

At the airport follow the signs to the underground train station to get to the railway station. The train station is located three storeys underground in the same building you arrived.

Please make sure that you have a valid ticket before taking the last stairs down to the platforms. Tickets can be bought at the ticket shop or at the ticket vending machine. Enter the code 8000 for Zurich. If you buy a ticket for 3 zones (Zonen), the tram in Zurich is inclusive.

Getting from Zurich Central Railway Station to the D-ITET
By Taxi
If you take a taxi/cab, ask the driver to take you to Gloriastrasse 35. This will cost you about CHF 15.-.

By Tram
Follow the signs at the railway station to get to the tram stop. The trams in Zurich are numbered and the one that will take you to our Building is Tram number 6. To find the appropriate tram stop look out for a sign with this number. On the same sign a couple of destinations are listed, ETH/Universitätsspital and Zoo  are the ones you have to look out for. Please note that in addition to the number every tram line has its own color, the tram number is on a sign of this color - in our case look out for a tram with an orange/brown sign with the number 6 imprinted. On the front sign of the tram the final destination station is shown, make sure the sign reads 'Zoo'.

Please make sure that you have a valid ticket. If you have a ticket for 3 zones already, you do not have to pay for the tram. If not, tickets can be obtained at the ticket vending machine . The tram ride will take about 10 minutes. Leave at the fifth stop called Voltastrasse.

Walking back some steps you will get to the main entrance of the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (building ETZ). The entrance of the ETZ is open from 7 am to 7 pm.
